It took longer than I thought because my 88's cooling system was slightly different. My 88 had the 2.5L 98hp 151ci Iron Duke and 5-speed IZUZU Transmission. so the swap was very easy. I put the Getrag Transmission from an 87 Blue Fastback I bought for spare parts, and the 3.4L from a 1994 Camaro. The engine was all set to go as it came out of a friend's 1986 Fastback GT Fiero up north. Great guy, and I'm glad I paid a little extra for his engine, he had already replaced all the seals, and gaskets, it had all newer ignition parts, a newer water pump, and a really nice A/C Pum (though the A/C Pump is sitting on a shelf as I don't have A/C.
